Theia Training already had a website when they approached me for a quote.
Melissa and Kathy wanted a new website that was both visual and informative and would help them stand out. Alongside the website re-design was the need for a new logo.
I designed and built Theia Training a brand new website on the WordPress platform. The new logo formed the basis for the website’s colours and fonts, followed by a complete restructure in navigation to enable the visitor to browse the services on offer. The toughest job was locating suitable imagery that fitted in with the gorgeous brand colours and originally they were created as ‘single colour’ but after much deliberation it was felt (by everyone) that full colour images created a much stronger visual appeal and added little variety tot he pages. The use of full colour images made sourcing suitable images a challenge as I really wanted each image to be part of a considered collection rather then them looking like they had been dumped into the pages. This often meant a lot of cropping and colour balancing which take time - but worth it!
The website is quite information rich so text areas were broken up using accordions and tabs that reveal content should the visitor wish to find out more.
The website provides an online registration form to allow visitors to make enquiries about up-coming courses ran by Theia Training. For those courses where delegates may purchase a course seat the visitor is linked through to PayPal via embedded PayPal buttons.
In the future further development can be performed in order to create a fully fledged course management facility with direct online payments using an Events Manager. This is the beauty of WordPress - your website is never finished until you say it is.
